* Viral titers are determined
by transducing 293 T cells with limiting diluted viral
supernatants. These
supernatants contain viral vectors which express different
colors of fluorescence proteins.
** Cherry: mCherry is a bright monomeric red fluorescent protein. "m" stands for monomeric. It can be visualized with the same filter and stimulation as Texas red.
*** Yellow: mYFP, a fusion of yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) with the mitochondrial targeting sequence. "m" stands for mitochondria.
**** NGFR (truncated neuron
growth factor receptor gene, 276aa vs 427aa of the
full length, to eliminate NGFR’s
biological function) does not have fluorescence. Need
to be stained by fluorescence-conjugated Ab, e.g.,
FITC, PE or PE-Cy5 etc.
